HeyDude, recently acquired by Crocs, makes shoes known for their comfort. They’ve built a strong following in the U.S., but entered Europe as an unfamiliar name without the same cultural cachet. While comfort was their strength, they needed a clearer, more compelling way to frame the brand for this new audience.

We set out to create a design system that could flex in two directions: highlighting the product, or switching the focus to community stories that define the brand’s focus on individualism.

The resulting system is built around the idea of bounce and flexibility, giving the brand a powerful visual language: variable typography that shifts and adapts, giving a bold, distinctive voice; layered elements inspired by the patches customers use to personalize their shoes; a ‘feet-first’ camera angle that keeps the product in focus.

The system extends across digital, packaging, POS, and OOH, bringing a cohesive identity to Hey Dude’s European launch while staying true to what the brand actually offers: easygoing comfort with individuality laced in.
